Lets face it…learning…and homeschooling...should be FUN! And Once-a-Week Unit Studies are meant to be just that...FUN for the whole family!
Once-a-Week Unit Studies enable you, as their name implies, to set aside one day each week to lay down the text books, and inject fun, creative, hands-on learning into your homeschool week. Throughout the week, your family will continue to enjoy outstanding, library selections, an occasional field trip, and your family game or movie night, each revolving around your unit study.
You are free to either compliment whatever science or history curriculum you are currently using OR replace it with Once-a-Week Unit Studies. The choice is yours.
Once-a-Week Unit Studies are designed to enable you to teach ALL of your children, (regardless of their ages or learning levels)....... together!
Each well-rounded unit study fully immerses you and your family in a particular topic while incorporating as wide a range of subjects as possible: family devotionals, quality, library reading selections, family read-alouds, history, science, geography, language, life skills, research, art, crafts, music, classic literature, documentaries, field trip suggestions, family game and movie nights, and even some fun "Stump Your Dad Trivia."
Once-a-Week Unit Studies have done all the work for you. Even the included library lists provide you with alphabetically and numerically ordered Dewey decimal numbers to aid you in making your trip to the library quick and painless.
And…Once-a-Week Unit Studies are “Boy Scout friendly!”
While Once-a-Week Unit Studies are by no means exclusively for Boy Scouts, they are designed to enable scouts to fulfill merit badge requirements while completing their studies. You will recognize each Boy Scout assignment by an accompanying fleur-de-lis symbol.
